What happens in Sunday School?
First lessons are The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:3-17); the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13), and its Spiritual Interpretation by Mary Baker Eddy; and Christ Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1-12.)
Next lessons consist of questions and answers appropriate for each level of class, based on Bible lessons from the Christian Science Quarterly, read in Church services.
Students learn how to understand and love the Bible as a powerful storehouse of help, and the value of the Bible for lifelong progress.
Instruction is accessible and immediately helpful for any child, with any background, any religious training, or not. It teaches that God is real, present, loving, and ready to help.
Students learn to pray for themselves and others and to be healers, as Christ Jesus promised his followers would be.
From toddlers through teens, students learn to know God as Love, and how they can feel God’s presence, power, and tender care – and be healed-- wherever they are.
No registration is necessary; drop-in students are welcome.
